My studio is designed by Grey Griffiths Architects. It was created from salvaged materials with off-cut birch plywood pieces and ex display windows and doors. The result is a practical space that is warm, inviting and very beautiful.
I could have never achieved a bespoke design of this quality without their keen eye for detail and their ability to design around waste materials.
Photos by Adam Scott, taken when the shed was pristine. It is much messier now!
The studio was selected for the 2018 New London Architecture ‘Don’t Move Improve’ awards and was featured in their exhibition.
It was part of a feature on Good Morning Britain about UK sheds. There’s a clip of me talking online somewhere but it is pretty cringe so I’m not adding a link!
In 2020 it was used as a backdrop for a Squarespace advert. I’ll forgive them for calling it a cheap studio! It was an unexpectedly big production which was exciting to watch.
